What is Dependi.io? arrow
Dependi.io is a dependency management extension for Visual Studio Code (VS Code) IDE. It provides a comprehensive toolkit for managing, updating, and reviewing dependencies efficiently, as well as checking for and reporting vulnerabilities, enhancing project security and reliability.
Is Dependi.io Free to Use? arrow
Dependi.io offers a free Core version with essential features to ensure accessibility for all users.
Do I need to register to use Dependi.io? arrow
To access Pro features, you need to register. Don't worry, the process is quick, easy, and secure.
How do I register an account? arrow
Pro users can easily register with just a valid email and payment method. As there is no panel for Core users, no registration process is required.
Installation Process arrow
Pro users can download the extension from our navigation menu, install it using the .vsx file in VS Code, and enter their API key in the settings under Dependi > Index server: API key. Core users can simply download and install Dependi.io directly from the VS Code Extension Marketplace.
How do I purchase a Dependi Pro subscription? arrow
It's easy! You'll need just a valid email and payment method. You can select your subscription package while registering for Dependi Pro. If you're already a Pro user, you can purchase a subscription package in the Pro Panel under the Payment menu.
How many devices can I use? arrow
As a Pro user, you get 2 seats by default. You can easily add more seats in seconds using the manage seats section.
How can I alter the number of devices I can use? arrow
Pro users can change the number of devices in the Dependi Pro Panel under the API key management section. Just remember, the maximum number of devices can't be less than the current active devices.
How can I reset the API key? arrow
Pro users can reset their API key in the Dependi Pro Panel under the API key management section by selecting “Reset API Key” to revoke and generate a new API key. The new API key must be re-entered on all active devices.
How can I cancel my subscription? arrow
No worries! Canceling your subscription is simple and hassle-free. Just go to the Dependi Pro Panel, navigate to the Payment section, select "Cancel my subscription," and confirm. You won't be billed for the next payment cycle.
How can I update dependencies? arrow
Updating dependencies is effortless! Use the "Update all dependencies" command to update everything at once, or simply hover over a specific dependency in VS Code to update it individually.
How can I create a Vulnerability Report? arrow
It's easy for Pro users to create a vulnerability report! Just use the "Generate vulnerability report" command in VS Code.
How can I communicate with Dependi? arrow
Communicating with Dependi is simple! Pro users can chat directly with our admins in the Dependi Pro Panel. All users can create issues on GitHub or use our contact form on the website.
